About us
Hi my name is Julie, while working as a community midwife I came across many families who are struggling financially. I started collecting donations for these families after seeing how some families found it hard to get the basics for their new baby. Due to the amazing generosity of people, my collection grew so big I was struggling to find places to keep it all. This led me to find companies who could help. I was donated a free storage unit and the idea of Bear Basics began. I work closely with other professionals and organisation to distribute the donations. We are always open to offers of support whether that is by collecting items, delivering items or even just spreading the word. I Look forward to helping this project grow for many years to come
Meet Our Team
This is Laura, she is also a midwife. She is a mother to two young children and her networking with other young families has helped so much with donations. She is my right hand woman who helps keep our social media, emails and website running smoothly. She is my IT guru and has really helped get this amazing project going with her endless enthusiasm. We will be hopefully adding to our team in the very near future.
TREASUER
Sian is our treasurer and fund manager. She is also a midwife and is passionate about helping families in need. Sian researches and applies for funding on the organisations behalf. Because of her help we have secured essential funds to help push this project forward.
